This popular program offers students the ability to “drop-in” during any 60-minute Math Add Drop-In session to do homework, study for exams, and get help with specific questions from professional tutors.
Eagan High School students are automatically registered.
Withdrawing from program just requires a 15-day notice.
Math Addvantage Policies
SUCCESSFUL TUTORING
Regular attendance is a critical factor for successful tutoring. Your student should arrive several minutes before the scheduled session time and be sure to bring his/her book, calculator, notebook and homework.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Students in grades 5 and under must be accompanied by their parents to and from the tutoring center. Students in grades 6 and up will be released from Math Addvantage without supervision unless parents make other arrangements.
SCHEDULING
Math Addvantage reserves a specific time for each of its students. If your student is unable to come during the assigned time, please notify us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to reschedule your student if there is a cancellation. Refunds are not given for missed sessions. In the unusual circumstance that Math Addvantage cancels a session, it will be rescheduled. Please note: We will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 18), Presidents’ Day (Feb. 15), and Memorial Day (May 31).
WEATHER
All sessions will be held as scheduled. If you feel your student is unable to attend due to weather, please call in advance of the session to cancel. Every effort will be made to reschedule the session.
FEEDBACK/COMMUNICATIONS
Session summaries that review topics or sections covered, student progress, and pertinent suggestions are sent to parents after each session via email.
PAYMENT
Payment is due by the 20th of each month prior to tutoring (except for September’s payment which is due upon receipt). A $15 late fee will be assessed for payments not received by the 1st of the month. There is a $30 NSF fee. Tuition discounts are offered as follows: Five percent for prepayment of 3 months tuition, Ten percent for the second regularly scheduled weekly session for same student and ten percent for a sibling enrolled on a weekly basis. Those receiving a sibling discount will receive a check for the amount discounted at the end of the school year.
TERMINATION
If tutoring services are no longer needed, please notify Math Addvantage at least 15 days prior to desired last session date to avoid further charges.
